Community Engagement: Troqueer Primary School January 16th 2018

Here are some photos from our recent visit to Troqueer Primary School this week. We spent the day with Mrs Johnstone’s fantastic P7’s discussing their views on Dumfries and what they would like to see happen to Rosefield Mills.

Thank you to all of the pupils who were involved. Their enthusiasm was truly inspiring. They came up with some fantastic ideas and offered their own unique perspective to the project, which will be invaluable moving forward.

We will be displaying their work at our next community engagement event at Troqueer Community Centre on January 31st. We are hoping that some of the pupils are going to come along to discuss their work.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be visiting Dumfries High School to work with students from Dumfries High, Dumfries Academy and Maxwelltown High School.

We look forward to sharing all the progress we’ve made so far. Make sure you come along to our next event at Troqueer Community Centre on January 31st from 6.30-8.30pm.

Community Event at the Stove Cafe – December 20th 2017

We want to say thank you to everyone who came to the Stove Cafe last night. What an

excellent turn out! It was great to hear your views about Dumfries town centre and what the

future might hold for Rosefield Mills.

The enthusiasm from everyone who came was great and has really set a tone for the project.

We’re really excited to push on in 2018. We’re going to spend some time now looking over

discussion from last night and we’ll feed this back to you at our next community event on

January 31st at the Troqueer Community Centre.

Discussion at the next meeting will get into the detail of specific future uses for Rosefield

Mills and what you think the future should hold for this beautiful and historic building.

Please come along, even if you couldn’t make the previous meeting and remember to keep

sharing our updates so we can continue to reach out to as many people as possible!

Remember you can also contribute any thoughts or ideas you have by completing our short

online survey. Please also share and circulate the link.
