Opportunity – Free Workshops for Camera Clubs and Photographic Societies
We are looking to work with four local Photography Clubs to host workshops which aim to document Dumfries’ amazing architectural sandstone carvings. Each club will have 3 workshop sessions between December 2018 and May 2019 including;
- A workshop with a professional architectural photographer
- A photographic ‘walkabout’ with photographer and heritage expert leading a guided tour of Dumfries town centre
- A workshop with WikimediaUK which demonstrates how to upload images onto Wikipedia and explains Creative Commons Licenses.
The Dumfries Historic Buildings Trust is running this project to celebrate the amazing history and continuing tradition of stonecarving in Dumfries – from local quarries at Locharbriggs to carved gargoyles in the town centre. We’re partnering with local camera clubs to document this heritage and we look forward to hearing from you.
If you’d like to sign up, or want more information contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 07936 800189. We only work on the project part time, a few days a week, but we’ll get back to you as soon as we’re next in the office.
